Service Birmingham is a partnership between Birmingham City Council and Capita, with the principal focus on providing cost effective information and communications technology services. Service Birmingham is also supporting Birmingham City Council to deliver its business transformation programme, its contact centres and its revenues services.
With the evolving changes in the NHS and the abolition of Primary Care Trusts by 2013, Birmingham City Council acquired responsibility for healthcare provision to its citizens. The key reasonability included developing and managing initiatives on teenage pregnancy, obesity, school health, and health care for the elderly.
In order to support these initiatives Service Birmingham choose to implement Sales Cloud and also selected Sandyx as the implementation partner. The implementation enabled Service Birmingham to provide the Council with an integrated contact management platform thus enabling senior Birmingham City Council Managers to manage their relationship at all levels, including Health Clusters, Practices and GP’s. Having a single solution for appointment booking, visit recording, content sharing and recording of individual GP clinical priorities enables consolidated analysis and reporting thus helping the Council to identify concerns earlier and focus attention on future public health care initiatives.
